The functional recovery of the entire complex of the Villa della Regina, in Turin, appeared to be a complex operation where conservative restoration and intended use interpenetrate in such a way as to offer little availability of solutions. So much so that a large part of the Villa can only be used as a museum of itself.

From this perspective, the “dei Solinghi” Pavilion and the parts of the main body, the subject of the intervention, were restored. The restoration involved the finding of material like the original, technologies and operational methodologies in traditional culture.

The complex being closed to the public did not present problems relating to the protection of artistic artefacts. The interventions extended to the entire herbaceous system of the park, in addition to the recovery of all the statuary and artistic artefacts present.
