A port has been created capable of acting as a structure for the steel centre and as a container freight terminal.

During the works, the following were built: cliff-type protection dams with lining of the external shells in “Antifer”-type boulders from 10 tons to 45 tons, for a length of 4,000 m; docks with a length of 2,400 m for the berthing of 120,000 dwt ships made with circular concrete boxes, without a bottom and with a thin wall.
