Sport Palace, Milan

The complex is located in the sport zone of Milan adjacent to St. Siro, on a total surface of 4.500 m2 circa. The covering surface of the Palasport is 20, 850 m2 of which 16.847 mt for the storage capacity and 6.592 m parterre. The remaining area is devoted to the access of the athletes and public to the service ramps and to the green area. The complex is designed to accommodate 15.000 spectators and to host the main cycling and athletic events.

Regarding the geometry of the storage capacity, we started from resolving the problem of the visibility. It rises a slope of the storage capacity (average 37° angle) in order to ensure the best visibility conditions for all the public sectors; to this end was also slightly rotated the angle of the cycling track compared to the geometrical axis compensating the various developments of the runway track acceleration and deceleration.
