The road bridge over the Paraná River is located between the towns of Chaco and Corrientes in Argentina. It is a partly cable-stayed bridge with prefabricated pre-stressed reinforced concrete segments with a central gap of 245 metres, namely, an international record. Other data related to the impressive work are the following, namely: The overall length is 2,800 metres. The width of the roadway is 14.34 metres. The length of the three spans of the cable-stayed bridge is 164+264+164. There are #12 lateral viaduct sections of 83 meters and #2 sections of 51 metres as well as #34 33-meter long access viaduct sections, #2 84-meter pylons. In addition, the road surface is placed at a height of 35 meters above water level.

Since its inauguration, the Bridge has been considered as an engineering jewel and one of the most effective demonstrations of the value of Italian work in the world. The Bridge was represented in the stamp issued by the Italian Post Office to celebrate the 120 years of history of Società Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua.
