The Hammam Boughrara dam is located in the western part of Algeria, approximately 900 km from
Algiers. The reservoir, obtained by damming the Tafna River, will be used for the irrigation of the
surrounding areas and for the supply of drinking water to the city of Oran, approximately 165 km
away.
