Condotte 1880 Srl is the company of the Tiberiade Holding group, owned by a branch of the Mainetti Family, which in July 2023 acquired the core large works division of Società Italiana per Condotte d’Acqua Spa and Con.Cor.Su S.c.r.l, placed under extraordinary administration, and sought to protect the company’s business and personnel.

In fact, the name of the new Società Italiana per le Condotte d’Acqua 1880 (hereafter Condotte 1880) acknowledges the long and important history of the construction company, founded on 7 April 1880 and now the third-largest business in the large works sector, active in the construction of dams, bridges and tunnels all over the world.

As such, in addition to the brands, Condotte 1880 has also inherited the major ongoing works in Italy and abroad, the company’s involvement in important concessions such as the consortium for the Bridge over the Strait of Messina, the professional and specialist experience the company has acquired in almost 150 years, the skills of its personnel (501 people), and numerous SOAs, certification that qualifies the company to carry out public works.

In addition to the contracts nearing completion and the concession projects, worth around EUR 7 billion, Condotte 1880 aims above all to re-establish itself as a major international player in the sector. A goal bolstered by the prospect of an infrastructure market with high growth rates, thanks also to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the PNRR, which aims to fund important new projects for the development of the Italian economy.
