The chemical industrial complex for the production of polypropylene in Kallo (Antwerp) is spread over an area of 750,00 m2 and will have a production of 180,000 tonnes per year. Among the most significant works in which the complex is divided, we mention: the extrusion building, power silos, the cooling towers in prefabricated concrete elements, the homogenization unit, the polymerization area, the sedimentation basin. The works also include the foundations of baseplates and anchors, including that of the 108 m high dehydrogenization tower and the piper racks.

In total, approximately 20,000 m3 of concrete and 1,600 tons of reinforced concrete were used.

The contracting authority, North Sea Petrochemical Vof, has divided the construction of the civil works, the total amount of which is €20 billion, into two contracts, of which it has entrusted the works management to Tecnimont and Kellog from London, respectively.
