For the construction of the industrial port, two breakwaters were built, for a length of 4,100 m in natural and artificial boulders (tetrapods), the dredging of the navigable channel 1,790 m long and 160 m wide with an operational seabed at 14.00 m, quays for a length of 1,482 m, made with reinforced concrete diaphragms with a T-section measuring 3.40 x 0.80 m, and the filling of the relevant areas with the material resulting from dredging for approximately 617 hectares.
